Annual Progress Report on Gender Equality 2010 Auteur: SDC The present report is part of a process guided by the Gender Focal Point, supported by the Gender Equality Network, and instituted following the 2009 independent evaluation of the Agency’s performance in mainstreaming gender equality. This is the second report of its kind. It responds to the Board of Director’s recognition that leadership and clarity in the allocation of responsibility are crucial to improving the Agency’s performance in policy implementation. The Board believes that periodic and systematic strategic reviews provide a basis for steering to assist those entrusted with this responsibility to successfully fulfill their roles. The Board of Directors’ management response to the first Annual Progress Report on Gender Equality (GE APR 2009) confirmed the Gender Equality Network’s mandate to provide such reviews.

Annual Progress Report on Gender Equality 2009 Auteur: SDC The present report, the first of its kind, brings together contributions from Quality Assurance, Corporate Controlling, Human Resources and Equal Opportunities, and is the result of a process the Gender Network Focal Point guided. It originates from the Board of Directors’ recognition, following the 2009 independent evaluation of the Agency’s performance in mainstreaming gender equality2, that leadership and clarity in the allocation of responsibility is crucial in improving the Agency’s performance in policy implementation, and that in order for those entrusted with this responsibility to be in a position to fully take on their role, periodic and systematic strategic reviews are needed upon which steering can rely.
